He has experience in law firm management, managing a legal aid centre for two years, and agitating for recognition and protection of human rights in Kenya. His practical skills include advocacy, legal education and awareness and in litigation. His specialities are copyright law, entertainment law, and media law, broadcasting law, telecommunications law, and sports law, public policy formulation for the creative sector, advocacy, and litigation.

Gerry is currently the General Manager of Kopiken, the Reproduction Rights Society of Kenya.
